Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day is a British tradition and something we commemorate every year here at Kestrel House School. This year we wanted to make it as interactive for the learners. We promoted the learners to make healthy choices by picking out red fruits and smoothies. We encouraged the learners to create their own poppies using various different textiles ranging from paint, tissue paper, paper, glitter and hand prints. Classes completed a sesnory story about Remembrance Day with the learners so they understood the meaning of the day and why it is celebrated here in Britain.
