We are delighted that, from September 2026, our Crouch Hill site will become the Upper School for Kestrel House School.
Supporting autistic learners aged 12–16 with a range of complex needs, this exciting development will allow us to expand our secondary school provision and create an environment specifically designed to meet the needs of our older learners.
At Crouch Hill, our values of Play, Pride and Preparation continue to guide everything we do. As learners move through the school, there is an increasing focus on developing the knowledge, skills and confidence they will need for the future. We know that adolescence is a particularly important stage of development, and our approach is designed to provide the additional support and opportunities learners need to prepare successfully for adulthood.
As pupils enter Key Stage 4, their curriculum becomes increasingly focused on Preparation for Adulthood outcomes. Learning is carefully planned to ensure that skills are meaningful, relevant and transferable to life beyond school. Whether developing communication, independence, self-advocacy, community participation or daily living skills, we are always considering how learning today will support our learners in the future.
Crouch Hill offers a range of specialist facilities that enrich learning and support wellbeing, including a dedicated life skills room, an immersive room for interactive learning and emotional regulation, and a soft play gym. These spaces provide engaging opportunities for learners to develop confidence, independence and essential life skills in a supportive environment.
Located just a few minutes from our Elm Grove site, Crouch Hill is ideally positioned to support smooth transitions as learners move into Upper School. The close proximity of both sites also allows pupils to benefit from site-specific resources and opportunities when appropriate, helping to create a seamless educational journey throughout their time at Kestrel House School.
We are excited to begin this new chapter in September 2026 and look forward to continuing to support our learners as they grow into confident, capable and successful young people.
