World Book Day Celebrations 📚
This Thursday, our school came together to celebrate World Book Day with a day full of creativity, imagination and sensory learning.
Staff and pupils took part in a variety of engaging activities across the school, including sensory stories, themed tuff trays and interactive book-based experiences. These activities helped bring our stories to life and provided meaningful opportunities for pupils to explore books in ways that suit their individual learning styles.
This year’s dress-up themes linked to our termly learning:
- Lower School: Mini Beasts 🐞
- Upper School: Health and Environment 🌍
It was wonderful to see so many fantastic costumes inspired by the books we have been reading in class. Lower School explored stories such as Hello Bugs, What Do You Do?, The Very Greedy Bee and Lifesize Creepy Crawlies, while Upper School drew inspiration from Don’t Panic! We Can Save the Planet, Lots and The Last Tree.
The day was a great success, and it was lovely to see pupils engaging with stories through play, exploration and shared experiences. Thank you to all the staff for their creativity and enthusiasm in making the day so special for our pupils!
