We are incredibly excited to welcome families to our new Elm Grove site, opening in September 2026.
As the Lower School for Kestrel House School, Elm Grove will support autistic learners aged 5–12 with a range of complex needs, providing a nurturing, engaging and highly personalised learning environment.
At Elm Grove, we understand that every child develops at their own pace. Rather than following traditional year groups, learners are placed in classes where their age, social development, communication skills and learning needs are carefully considered. This allows us to create groups where children feel safe, understood and able to flourish.
As we open our doors, we are committed to growing our school community slowly and thoughtfully. This ensures that every child receives the individual support, attention and opportunities they need, while maintaining the warm and welcoming atmosphere that families value at Kestrel House School.
Our school values of Play, Pride and Preparation are at the heart of everything we do. We encourage learners to explore, develop confidence, celebrate their achievements and build the skills they need for greater independence as they grow. Every day is designed to help learners feel successful, valued and ready for the next stage of their journey.
Learners benefit from the expertise of our integrated clinical team, including Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists, who are dedicated to providing embedded therapeutic support and promote the generalisation of skills across all aspects of school life. Therapists work closely with teaching staff and help embed therapeutic approaches throughout the school day, enabling children to practise and develop important skills in meaningful, everyday situations.
Located just a few minutes’ walk from our Crouch Hill site, Elm Grove is perfectly placed to make the most of the wonderful opportunities available in Crouch End and across London. We regularly use our local community to enrich learning, develop independence and help children build connections with the world around them.
We look forward to building a vibrant, supportive and inclusive school community where every child can feel happy, confident and proud to belong.
