Our learners were encouraged this year to participate in Chinese New Year!
The learners decorated lanterns in their own unique styling as well as making use of various Year of the Tiger drawing and colouring in sheets. The day ended with a party in our school hall. We decided however to make this party a little different to our usual whole school parties. The learners came in groups and used premade PECs symbols to request the food that they wanted (some of which was kindly donated by our lovely parents) and they all sat around on tables colouring in and tracing over Chinese letters. Traditional music was played throughout the afternoon and learners were encouraged to try new foods from different cultures.
