Autism Acceptance Week 2023
As a school for learners who have ASD, it is vital to our curriculum and community that we teach our children to celebrate who they are. Having done the traditional Kestrel House School Balloon Release for the past few years, this year we decided to take the learners out on exciting trips in and around London. Our youngest learners made a trip to the London Sea Life Aquarium, some learners went to Golders Green Park and the rest of the learners made history as our first ever trip to the London Eye! It was a magnificent way to celebrate our learners, seeing all of London from our own private pods. We were very proud of all of our learners on this trip as every single one of them was able to access the London Eye despite some having a fear of heights. We ended the trip with a picnic and a play in Jubilee Gardens.
