
Our Primary Department aims to provide a warm, friendly and secure environment where our children enjoy learning.
Our primary curriculum is child centred and ensures that each child has access to their full curriculum entitlement.
All pupils have an Individual Education Plan (IEP) which is discussed and shared with parents to ensure continuity between home and school. Progress is carefully monitored and feeds into our assessment system. This is important as it clearly shows each pupil's progress and ensures future planning is well matched to their needs.

All children have access to the local community to ensure that learning is practised and generalised in a variety of settings. Pupils are able to participate in weekly swimming sessions and ,if suitable, can join termly horse riding lessons.
Each day starts with our 'breakfast club' and a daily exercise session. This enables the pupils to have a positive, energetic and healthy start to their day especially if they have had a long journey in a car or taxi. It physically and mentally improves their alertness in readiness for the exciting school day ahead.
