London Autism School - Our Admissions Criteria
Pupils admitted to Kestrel House London Autism School:-
- will have a diagnosis of an autistic spectrum disorder or Asperger's Syndrome
- will have a statement of Special Educational Needs
- will have Kestrel House School named in Part 4 of their statement with the support of the parents/carers and the local authority where the young person lives. Additionally private fee paying families are welcome in both the primary and nursery departments
- must be assured that Kestrel House School can provide for the pupil's needs across the autistic spectrum
- can be admitted into Kestrel House School at any time of the academic year.
- can only be admitted when there is a vacancy (except under exceptional circumstances)
- can be admitted into any of the year groups, providing that appropriate capacity is available in that year group
Foundation stage pupils do not have to have a full statement of special educational needs but will need to have been identified as having a communication disorder or a diagnosis of an autistic spectrum disorder or Asperger's Syndrome.
